If you are receiving this newsletter you have either supported me financially, prayerfully, or are just plain curious about what God is up to. I have been blown away by you guys’ generosity and servitude, and was thinking it would only be fair to voice how extremely thankful I am. When I say that fundraising has been a journey, I mean it. God has been so faithful to bless the ideas he has inspired me with, and has continued to place more and more of his faithful servants into my life. College friends, churches, small groups, anonymous givers. You have all done abundantly more than I ever could have imagined. I literally never could have done this without you!

I would also like to give an update on how I’m doing financially! I have been striving to be a faithful steward of my part in fundraising, not just sitting back and expecting God to do it for me. I have also had to keep myself in check, realizing that there are many things I cannot do in my own power and placing them in God’s perfect will. What is crazy to me is that, when I started fundraising, I prayed, “God, I desire for your will to be done. Whether that is me going on the World Race or not going, I desire to go where you go. That being said… I REALLY want to go on the World Race so please bless this!!!”. Since then he has continued to look upon me with favor and bless all of the things I have put my hands to. He did not have to do that.

I thought it would be beneficial to list the current things I have seen God work through…

  •  I have started to buy and resell thrifted clothing to raise money for the trip. I have made an instagram, called @handmes_byhan, where I post items that I’m selling! A day after I posted my first outfit I got the opportunity to do a pop-up shop in Greensboro, where I set up a table and sold my items. I will be doing another one Saturday, July 10, 7:30-1:00 at Golden Antiques in Summerfield.

  • I have been doing an adopt-a-box campaign where people can adopt a box of any number 1-100. When you adopt a box you donate the dollar amount of the box number!

  • And my most recent thing…  a fundraising banquet! On July 17 at 6pm, Grove Park Church in Burlington, we will be having a nice dinner together! This will be followed by a time of me sharing more details about the World Race and ways you could be praying for me. Anyone is welcome to come, so please contact me at 919-886-3497 to RSVP!

It has been so fun to be creative and think outside the box. I feel so free knowing that there isn’t a formula to fundraising, nor will there ever be. This has legitimately been a time where I’ve watched the body of Christ come together and become one.

To be as open and transparent as possible, I still need more help! It would be wonderful if each of you could forward this email to 3 people who you know have a heart for the gospel. I thank each and everyone of you for all you have done and continue to do. I cannot put into words how thankful I am.
